Terms & Conditions

The Contract

The person booking the service for a particular session will sign the contract. The following will be included in the contract: Date of event, Location of event, Time of event and also the number of persons that will need makeup/hair services. All deposits must be paid at the time of contract signing to guarantee reservation of date. Payments are required in full for bookings less than one month time. Due to possibility of schedule conflicts additional persons added after contract signing will be subjected to additional cost if changes are not made two months before the booked date. Services cannot be removed after a booking is secured. Additional services can be added if timing allows it. To secure a date, a signed contract is required followed with a 50% deposit at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Prices may be adjusted to all packages if changes are made in the agreement contract. Full payment must be paid by the day prior to the date of event via email money transfer (EMT) only to lorrainemakeupartistry@gmail.com or otherwise may result in no show. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Half/Full Day Touch-ups Services

Rates begin after initial wedding day application and are calculated hourly until artist departure. Two breaks and 1 hour meal break are required for artist. A $200 fee will apply per hour after 4 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day). Clients take full responsibility for lateness and other factors that might affect time of productivity. Day rate must be paid even if the artist is not used for the entire 4 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day).

Early Morning Fee

An early morning fee will be applied for start times at 7am or earlier ($50 per artist) and 5am or earlier ($100 per artist). Start time is determined by the services, number of artists and time required to complete application.

Additional Artist

The rates listed reflect the cost for one artist. Large parties or time sensitive bookings requiring assistance of a second artist will incur a $100 booking fee for each additional artist. 

Service Location Requirements

Location of the service for the day of event will be at the discretion of the client. The makeup/hair artists will need a table/work area at location of wedding followed by a well-lit area with sufficient lighting by lamps or natural light.

Travel Fees

No extra travel charges to initial location within Toronto/GTA, Calgary, and Chestermere. Further distances are subjected to extra charges ($1/km per artist outside of Toronto/GTA and Calgary) - please inquire about your location. Locations more than 2 hours away may need to have accommodations provided. The client is responsible for all lodging, parking, and traveling fees that each artist incurs. Parking fees apply if applicable per car.

Liability

All makeup products and brushes are kept sanitary and are sanitized after each use. Makeup Products are all hypoallergenic and professional grade. We only use the best of the business. If clients have any skin conditions, this will need to be reported to the makeup artist during the trial period.

Airfare & Accommodations

Client pays costs for travel to booked destination event. Costs may include: Airfare, hotel, transportation, parking and all taxes.

Cancellations

All deposits paid by the client will be refunded if contract is cancelled within 24 hours of contract signing. If for any reason the makeup/hair artist cancels at anytime or is unable to perform her duties, 100% of the deposit paid will be refunded. Or if the client wishes Lorraine Makeup Artistry to find replacement for the event, 15% of the total deposit paid will be returned to the client. Cancellations after 24 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Trial Dates

Missed trial dates will be subjected to a $75 fee upon re-booking. We value the time of our clients. Please value ours.

COVID Policies

If your wedding needs to be postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions, the original deposit may be used to reschedule your date with Lorraine Makeup Artistry (pending availability) up to one time.

If you are unable to postpone your wedding day with us or need to cancel, your deposit remains non-refundable but will be honored as a credit for future services for a grace period of three months.

In the event that your wedding needs to be postponed more than once, a rebooking fee of 25% of your total applies.
